I used to love gambling and my life was in a mess. In the past, I do not understand what love is and I lack understanding in the area of communication with my family members. Therefore, I rarely communicate with them. Often, upon reaching home, I will withdraw myself into my room. I used to treat my home like a “hotel”.
Apart from this, I used to rely on my wisdom, intelligence and strength to handle all my problems, but matters got worse. I often in order to borrow money from family members, colleagues, friends to clear my debts and in the end, the amount kept piling up like a “mountain”.
When I first came to church, I did not really believe in God. I had many doubts about God. I did not know how to pray and was often confused. But as the days went by, I begin to pray “quietly” by myself. I begin to experience the miraculous works of God. My family members begin to communicate with me within a week. Their support for me came in the form of verbal encouragement. They encouraged that I should continue to attend church services.
Another miracle happened since I turned my life to Christ was the fact that the illegal money lender had only come to splash my house with paint once after I have accepted the Lord. From the perspective of the amount of my loan (40 - 50 thousands), this is rarely the case.
I quit gambling, stopped lying and begin to work diligently in my career. I begin to learn how to care for my family members. I begin to experience peace and joy in me. There is not much of stress min my life now. God has given me the wisdom to handle situations in my daily life.
Anyway, I want to thank my wife-to-be Daphne for bringing me to GK611 and standing by me during my ups and downs. I have learnt from the bible that
“I am a new creation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
